About Us
“3 People In Your Head”, is a not for profit, social enterprise podcast. The podcast was founded in 2019 by Matt Taylor and John Fleming. Since 2022 it is independently owned and produced by Matt Taylor and sponsored by ITAA and EATA as part of a joint venture.
The podcast mission is simple. We want to raise the profile of and promote Transactional Analysis globally while helping people gain a better understanding of their relationship with themselves and others at the same time. We focus on what TA has to say about personal development, mental health, education, communication, healthy relationships, organisational development, counselling, psychotherapy and life in general. As such this podcast is first and foremost for the general public (layperson), it is a podcast for anyone and everyone interested in psychology, communication and self development. Secondly, it is a podcast for TA trainees and our TA colleagues.
Where did we get our name?
The name is a play on words in reference to the Ego State model. Eric Berne used the phrase “people in your head” in a 1966 TV documentary which you can find here: http://www.ericberne.com/videos/ (first video “Eric Berne – Games People Play – The Theory Video Part I” approx. 8mins 50secs in). Each podcast includes three people, co-hosts Matt Taylor and John Fleming and one special guest. It is our intention to initially offer opportunities to TSTA’s, CTA Trainers, 101 Instructors and CTA’s to be special guests.
Since the launch in 2020 we have created and released episodes on the following series:
• Introductory Series
• TA Counselling Series
• Organisational TA Series
• Educational TA Series
• TA Psychotherapy Series
• Special Themes Series
We hope to begin producing the following series very soon:
• Eric Berne Series
• TA Schools, Approaches & Traditions Series
You can listen to the Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, wherever you listen to your podcast, or on the website:

The response to the podcast has been phenomenal and we are very encouraged by the enthusiasm. We intend to keep this social enterprise running as long as we have guests who are interested in being interviewed and adequate listener numbers. We intend to review the feasibility of continuing the podcast on a biannual basis with ITAA and EATA.
Hosts

Matt Taylor
Managing Director – Chief Production Officer and Psychotherapy Series Host
Of the many roles I have, being a TA psychotherapy student is one of the most inspiring and stimulating. I am primarily a family man, based in Cambridge with my wife and two adult children. Cambridge is a very intellectual and inspirational environment, and where we have the most wonderful community of friends. Other roles include mindfulness coach, hypnotherapist, and owner/manager, with my wife, of a wellbeing clinic. My passion is facilitating personal growth through understanding the flexibility of the mind-body system and utilising the remarkable resources humans possess.
I am the podcast co-founder, and responsible for the management and production of the podcast.

John Fleming
Organisational Series, and Special Themes Series Host
I live by the sea in the wonderful West Cork, on the South West coast of Ireland. It’s a rural community that offers an eclectic mix of people, all of which have and continue, to shape my core values and work. I am a Transactional Analysis Trainee, training in the psychotherapy, education and organisational fields. Yes, I LOVE TA!! My background is in management consultancy and specifically in learning and development and organisational improvement. I am very passionate about creating safe spaces where people feel like they belong and can engage in personal & professional development.
I am a co-founder and support Matt with the development and strategy of the podcast.

Parul Arora
Counselling Series Host
I am a student of life and for life, happiest when I am learning something new. My latest passion is pottery, an act of mindfulness and meditation for me. Pottery, like life, is about consistency over force. Supporting a piece of clay consistently helps shape it while too much force breaks it. That’s why I love TA – especially the belief that people are OK and have the power to change. I am a student of TA Counseling, based in India. I have also trained in Person Centric (Rogerian) Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Reiki and Pranic Healing. My dream was to become a doctor so I resonate with healing fields. Along with being a mental health counselor, I work as a Creative Director in Advertising. I love stories, people and helping people be the best versions of themselves.

Joy Dev Chatterjee
Counselling Series Host
I reside in New Delhi, India and have probably been fortunate to have grown up ‘with’ India, where it made an ultra-violet shift in its personality, confidence and in making its own place in the world. I am a Learning & Development Consultant by profession. I toggle between multiple roles of a facilitator, coach and counsellor and am passionate about each one. Transactional Analysis happened to me in my quest for more applicable and effective tools and frameworks through which I could enable others to find their true potential. I found myself instead!
Currently, I am training in the field of counselling with Transactional Analysis. I am also an active theatre artist. I am married and a devoted husband and father.

Sarah Lowes
Educational Series Host
I live in Wiltshire in the south of the United Kingdom. I have a lifelong fascination with people, which I first indulged by playing different characters as a would-be actress. In recent years, I’ve indulged it by supporting real people through a career in learning & development. My mission is authenticity: helping people to be true to themselves at work, to experience more satisfaction and have a better impact on the world around them. I love TA because it provides a wealth of tools to do just that, and enables me to be my most authentic self in my work. I am a TA trainee, with a diploma in Organisational TA and working towards a CTA in Educational TA.
